What is CED ? CED is Capacitance Electronic Disc. A Videodisc player system that was manufactured in the early 1980's. The disc is made of black vinyl similar to a LP record and played with a diamond stylus. The videodisc is housed in a plasic jacket ( caddy). The caddy labels have information and artwork about the videodisc. About 1700 different titles were pressed in the CED format..
